[ Jess & Casey's Kingscliff Cabarita wedding ]
My favourite things about Jess and Casey’s wedding:
- The obvious joy in the air around everyone.
- Jess’s garter covering all of her old, new, borrowed and blue bases – especially her grandmothers’ rings stitched on to it – and her grandmother’s image tied safely into her bouquet. I’ll be borrowing these ideas one day for my own wedding!
- The look in Casey’s eye every time he looked at his glowing bride.
- Peanuts the horse. His involvement in our wedding portraits session was a surprise gift from Jess and Casey’s friends, and they didn’t find out until right after the ceremony – good friends or what?!
I’d love to hear what your favourite things about this wedding are.

[ Hayley & David's Cabarita Beach Wedding ]
Hayley and David wanted a small, simple wedding to celebrate their love. It suited them perfectly. I feel as though a small, simple blog post will suit them too, so I’ll let their images tell you all about it. Congratulations, Hayley and David!

[ Dan & Dale's Cabarita Wedding ]
When I first met Dale to chat about her wedding photos, she brought pages and pages of tear sheets of wedding photos she loved, and they all had a common theme – rich, golden and sun-drenched.
When we shot Dale and Dan’s engagement shoot on the beach at the Spit, it was the first sunny day for weeks and I thanked the Weather Gods for smiling on us. Things were looking good for Dale’s dream wedding photos, right?
When Dale and Dan got married, it rained.
All. Day.
Dale shrugged her shoulders and smiled and said, “oh well,” and proceeded with one of the most touching and personal weddings I have ever had the pleasure to attend.
I also got to make friends with three seriously awesome girls – here’s a shoutout to my photobooth bridesmaid BFFs Felicity, Baylee and Maddy! Keep an eye out at the bottom of the post for a couple of shots of our awesomeness, courtesy of The Photo Pod.

And here’s me and the girls, getting our photobooth on!

Renee & Dylan – Sweethearts [Cabarita Kingscliff Tweed Heads Brisbane Portrait Photographer]
Ah, young love. Doesn’t it bring back memories? I caught up with Renee and Dylan for a cosy little sweetheart session on Cabarita Beach.
Renee is my honourary little sister and this was my first time officially meeting Dylan but he passed the test – he did this whole shoot on the beach in high-top Converse sneakers and didn’t get any sand in his shoes at all! Kudos, Dylan. Kudos.
