Rachael & Blake’s Brisbane City Wedding

Sometimes it’s a bit funny being a wedding photographer. If not for doing what I do, I may never have met Rachael and Blake - but when I think of them, and their wedding day, I can’t help but grin. It was a spectacularly sunny April day, so packed with laughter and joy that you couldn’t help but feel it settle in your soul, like the peace of a vibrant sunset.

Rachael and Blake’s special pup Teddy blessed Rachael’s veil with his precious fluffy nose, and oversaw every step of the hair and makeup. The lads watched basketball until it was time to suit up. The couple were married in the very church Rachael’s parents married in, and her brother - those walls have seen some love stories! And the reception was the best kind of party, with phenomenal food, a pumping dance floor, and Photo Booth shenanigans. What a day!

Rachael and Blake were married at St Finnbar’s Catholic Church in Ashgrove. The incredible florals were by Blooms by Bridie, THAT CAR supplied and driven by Roaring Twenties Vintage Car Hire (I got to take a little joy ride in it, it was amazing) and reception venue was the unmatched Mirra Events.
