Before you start scrolling through this wedding post, go grab a cup of tea. It’s OK, I’ll wait. But make sure it’s tea, not coffee – for two reasons. First, Cass and Steve married at Madura Tea Estates by Camellia Weddings and we wasted no time in frolicking about the tea fields. I swear you can almost smell it just from seeing the photos! Second, Cassie is known to many as the “tea hugger” – a moniker bestowed upon her by her maid of honour Katie. I’ve known Cass for about a decade, and I have never known someone more overjoyed by tea (which is saying something, since tea leaves me pretty joyous) – and it says a lot about Cassie’s approach to life and love – finding happiness in simple pleasures and focussing on the positive in every situation. It makes perfect sense that she drew someone like Steve to her – I started calling him “AwesomeSteve” years ago because of how happy he made her and how supportive he was of her dreams!
Together, Cass and Steve are a laid-back whirlwind of laughter, gratitude and toilet humour, and they value their friends and family more than anything. That vibe is infectious! Their wedding day was highly emotional, but every tear from every guest (myself included) was doubled by heartfelt smiles or cheeky giggles, so the happiness cup was always brimming over.
