My heart really goes out to couples whose work keeps them apart most of the time, but Cherylyn and Siang are proof that distance is not a deal-breaker – and the day they can finally live in the same city again isn’t far away!

These two met on an archeological dig in Siang’s hometown of Singapore (how freaking cool is that!) and married in Cherylyn’s hometown of Brisbane in 2011. Archeology life and study has kept them both on their toes since then, so we jumped on the chance to capture these portraits in South Bank Parklands while Siang was in town for a week. Brisbane is a special place for all of us (myself included!) but their future seems to be leading them elsewhere, so we wanted to make sure to capture the heart of Brisbane in these images, as well as the romance of being reunited!
