I've been quiet lately. I've been spending less time on social media since mid-lockdown, and because of that I missed Blackout Tuesday altogether. It didn't feel right to blithely contribute to a conversation I knew little about, so I've instead spent time the past week learning - what Australia's issues are, who some of the indigenous souls we've lost in custody were, what we can do together to make lasting and meaningful change, and which organisations are spearheading that change and accepting donations. Today it's Tuesday again, and even though I'm one week late for the official #blackouttuesday, I didn't want anyone who came to my page and didn't see a black square to think I don't support the radical change the world is demanding. Black lives matter - they should have always mattered. We all need to take a hard look at ourselves and our systems, and do better.

It's been a while since I've posted my own mug! You already know I love weddings, cameras, winter and cats, so here are a few things you might not know about me. Tell me something about you too!⁠ ⁠ 1. Whenever I watch Youtube videos, I watch them on 1.5x speed - sometimes even faster if the person talks very slowly! I wish Netflix had speed controls too!⁠ ⁠ 2. I can never decide if I like my hair better long or short. I go back and forth on it every few years, but I always cut it short if I decide to rewatch Veronica Mars (because season 1 Veronica is goals), and I always get frustrated with it when it's short because it's much harder to execute an up-do for weddings with a bob!⁠ ⁠ 3. I love to dance! I started dancing when I was 7 years old, as a keen little baby ballerina. My favourite styles now are girly hip hop and waacking (which is tricky but I'm slowly improving) and I occasionally moonlight as a K-pop dance teacher too.⁠ ⁠ ⁠

Very much missing this - the chatter of crowds, the togetherness of sharing a meal, the energy of so many loved ones in one place. ⁠ ⁠ As an introvert, I've sometimes felt like small weddings and elopements had a little mysterious something that big weddings didn't, but not being able to have these big wedding moments has me rethinking that! There's nothing like a bit of perspective, right?
