Visually capturing the essence of a person is what portraiture is all about, and capturing the essence of a couple and their relationship is what engagement photo sessions are all about. Jenna and James had a great idea that made it really easy for me to capture their love – rather than arrange a location and a time for the standard engagement session, why not have me accompany them on their standard Saturday morning, doing everything they love doing together?

It worked a treat. I met Jenna and James at Highgate Hill park for some romantic cuddles amongst the fig trees in the early morning sunshine, then we headed to the West End Markets for coffee and fresh flowers. We finished up with another coffee at Plenty and a little walk around town, and we were left with some of the most personal and fun engagement shots I’ve had the pleasure of making to date.

Stay tuned for Jenna and James’ wedding day, coming soon to the blog!
